With the MoNo Clipper Inline, Manter takes another step in the development of recyclable packaging. The machine packs a set number of products inline in a fully recyclable mono-material net package. The MoNo Clipper Inline combines low material consumption with reliable sealing, low maintenance costs and a relatively high packaging speed. The packaging is made entirely from polyethylene (PE). Unlike traditional solutions, no metal or plastic clips are required. This keeps the packaging mono-material and fully recyclable.
Minimum material, maximum efficiency
Efficient use of materials was a key focus in the development of the MoNo Clipper Inline. The PE net is formed directly on the machine and closed with a PE label. This creates a simple, fully mono-material package with minimal material consumption, without compromising on a reliable and neat closure. The machine is also designed for low maintenance costs and efficient production.

Packing multiple products inline
“Inline” means that multiple products are packed one after another in the same net package. For example, three sorted onions measuring 80–90 mm can be presented as a single package. The PE net is pulled over a tube and unwound in a controlled manner. The machine seals the bottom of the package with a PE label. The products are then fed one by one into the formed package. At the top, the package is sealed, with the same seal simultaneously forming the bottom of the next package. A sensor checks that no product is positioned between the sealing surfaces. After sealing, a knife separates the two packages.
Suitable for different products
The MoNo Clipper Inline works with tubular netting with a diameter of 65–200 mm and is suitable for products such as onions, garlic and citrus fruits, including lemons and limes. A good packaging result starts with the right combination of product, tube, net material and label. Proper product grading and a suitable net ensure that the product fits securely inside the package. For onions, we also recommend an extraction system to remove loose onion skins before the product is discharged into the tube. This helps prevent issues in the sealing station.
Strong seal and high speed
For consistent and reliable sealing, a label with a thickness of at least 150 µm and a width of 12–25 mm is applied at the sealing point, depending on the selected net type and application. The labels are slightly wider than a traditional clip, providing sufficient sealing surface for a strong and reliable closure. The MoNo Clipper Inline is suitable for different label types, including Wineglass, Strip and Seal-to-Seal labels. During recent tests, a consistent speed of 25 packages per minute was achieved when packing three onions inline. Further performance data will be released with the final machine launch.
The next step in mono-material packaging
With the MoNo Clipper Inline, Manter introduces a packaging solution that is fully recyclable, material-efficient and designed for continuous operation. The combination of minimal material use, reliable sealing, low maintenance costs and high packaging speed makes the machine suitable for growers and packers looking to further improve the sustainability of their packaging process.
