No, Manter does not require customers to enter into a packaging material supply contract. Customers are free to choose their own packaging materials and suppliers. While Manter does not sell packaging materials, we can advise on suitable packaging solutions in cooperation with our partners. This ensures optimal machine performance and product quality within the selected machine configuration.

The same warranty conditions apply to weighers, packaging machines, and palletizers. The warranty period is 6 months or 2,000,000 cycles, whichever occurs first. The warranty is limited to mechanical, software-related, and structural defects and does not cover wear parts. For further details, please refer to our Metaalunie Terms and Conditions, which are included as standard in our quotations.

Weighing machines

The machine is operated via a user-friendly touchscreen interface. Operators can easily select a preset and start or stop the machine. Depending on the access level, settings can be adjusted as required. Our machines are delivered with optimally configured presets based on the tested product and target weights, allowing production to start immediately. If product specifications change, alternative presets can be selected or settings can be adjusted when necessary.

In practice, our weighers are fully automated. The operator only needs to enter the product and packaging parameters, after which the machine controls the entire weighing and dosing process automatically.

Key automated functions include:

  • Automatic level control (continuous product distribution across the weighing buckets)
  • Intelligent product distribution for optimal filling
  • Automatic combination optimization for highly accurate weights
  • Automatic fault detection with warnings and notifications
  • Preset management for fast product changeovers
  • Synchronization with upstream and downstream packaging equipment

Thanks to this level of automation, capacity remains stable, weighing accuracy is maximized, and product giveaway is minimized, all with minimal operator intervention.

Yes, this is possible. Cameras can be installed as an option to provide visual monitoring of product infeed, product distribution, and product behavior within the weigher.

Yes. For safe maintenance, cleaning, inspection, and easy access, weighers can be supplied with:

  • Catwalk
  • Stairs
  • Safety railings

These are designed to suit the available space and the specific line configuration.

Reduced capacity can have several causes, including:

  • Insufficient product supply
  • Contamination or wear
  • Incorrect settings
  • Product characteristics
  • Uneven product distribution
  • Unsuitable packaging materials
  • Mechanical blockages

Through remote support, we can often quickly identify and analyze the root cause of the issue.

The price of a Manter weigher depends on the required capacity, product specifications, and machine configuration. Factors such as speed, product type, and level of automation all influence the investment. Because every application is unique, we do not work with fixed price lists. Instead, we are happy to provide a tailored quotation or budget indication based on your specific requirements and production needs.

Packaging machines

We have created a dedicated page with packaging examples, which you can view here.

Yes. Before commissioning, we always carry out tests using, preferably, materials supplied by you:

  • Your product
  • Your packaging materials
  • Desired packaging types
  • Labels and closures

This allows us to verify capacity, packaging quality, and process stability. It is therefore important that test product and packaging materials are provided in time once the machines are ready for factory testing.

Dit verschilt per machine en verpakkingstype. Factoren zijn onder andere:

  • Bag width and length
  • Material type
  • Product weight
  • Sealing method

Voor iedere machine zijn technische packaging specifications beschikbaar. Deze kunnen op aanvraag worden gedeeld.

The price of a Manter packaging machine depends on the machine type, required capacity, configuration, and level of automation. Since every application is different, the investment can vary significantly per solution. We are therefore happy to provide a budget indication or quotation based on your specific situation and requirements.

Palletizers

The palletizers are highly flexible and can handle a wide range of packaging formats, depending on the configuration and line setup. This includes bags of potatoes, onions, or carrots, as well as boxes and crates. As a result, they are suitable for both bulk packaging and re-packing operations ranging from 5 to 50 kg of various fresh produce (potatoes, vegetables, and fruit).

Manter palletizers, in cooperation with Solidtec systems, can handle multiple standard pallet formats. This includes Euro pallets (1200 × 800 mm), industrial pallets (1200 × 1000 mm), and other commonly used dimensions, depending on the system configuration. In addition, palletizers can be adapted to specific customer or country standards, and non-standard pallet sizes are also possible upon request.

All required presets are configured in advance, ensuring the machine operates correctly from commissioning. If a new stacking pattern needs to be added later, it can be easily programmed via the touchscreen interface. Two configuration methods are available: a user-friendly drag-and-drop interface for quick and intuitive setup, and a more traditional coordinate-based input method. The available options depend on the chosen configuration and are demonstrated during commissioning.

The price of a palletizer depends strongly on capacity, configuration, and level of automation. Therefore, there is no fixed price; each solution is treated as a project-specific investment.
