New Ultrasonic Sealer: Sustainable, efficient and ready for the future

We are introducing a new Ultrasonic Sealer that can close poly packaging completely without additional materials. Whereas traditional closures often use clips or Kwik Loks, the Ultrasonic Sealer simply melts the packaging shut. As a result, the entire package consists of a single material, making it significantly easier to recycle and better for the environment.

How does ultrasonic sealing work?

Ultrasonic sealing involves melting a bag shut by means of vibrations. The bag is pressed between two parts. One of them vibrates, creating heat that melts the material and seals the bag. Unlike, for example, a Kwik Lok, where the bag can be released immediately, this sealing time is necessary with ultrasonic sealing, resulting in a slightly lower capacity.

Growing demand for single-use packaging

Supermarkets are increasingly requesting fully recyclable, mono-materials. This need is also growing within clipper solutions, as seen with our previously developed MoNo Clipper. The Ultrasonic Sealer aligns perfectly with this and enables fully mono-material packaging.

Flexible to integrate

The ultrasonic unit can be mounted on both the Roll Stock Bagger and the Wicket Baggers. Thanks to the same mounting points as a quick tap, the unit is easily interchangeable with a quick tap or taper, making implementation into existing lines simple. More and more machines supporting ultrasonic sealing are appearing on the market, and we continue to develop proactively in this area. With this new Ultrasonic Sealer, we are taking another step towards more sustainable and future-proof packaging solutions.
