For a customer in the Czech Republic, active in the packaging of charcoal and briquettes, we have delivered a packaging line consisting of an MD10 XXL multihead weigher and a Double Paper Bagger. A striking new feature of the MD10 XXL is that the dosing flap unit can now be adjusted up and down via the display, which provides extra ease of use.
Adjustments for Dust Control
Due to the dusty nature of charcoal, several adjustments have been made to the line. For example, the hopper to the Paper Bagger has been adjusted to accommodate an extraction system. The sensors are equipped with blowers to remove charcoal dust and thus guarantee consistent signals. In addition, additional measures have been taken such as overpressure in the switch cabinet and seals between the vibratory chutes, all aimed at minimizing dust formation and ensuring reliable operation of the machine.
About Servis Les
Servis Les still packs everything manually, but due to the challenges in finding staff, they decided to invest in a packaging line. The MD10 XXL weigher was chosen because of its ability to handle extra large and large product flows, especially suitable for bulk bags of 10 and 15 kg. In addition, they also produce paper block bottom bags of 2, 2.5, 4 and 5 kg. All presets are stored in the Paper Bagger, which allows for fast bag changes. The only thing the operator has to do is change the bags in the warehouse. Of course, this has been extensively tested with all presets before delivery.
