We sold a complete line to Agro Fuente Verde in Colombia for weighing and packaging tamarillos, a product we hadn’t previously run on our machines. Therefore, we carefully conducted extensive test runs to ensure the process ran smoothly. In the video, you can follow the product step by step through the entire line, until it is finally neatly packed into 1 kg wicket bags. The products of Agro Fuente Verde can be found on the website of Frutex.
The line
The line consists of an M10i Ds multihead weigher and a Double Wicket Bagger, which can pack both 1kg and 1.5kg bags. The customer considered several options but ultimately chose the M10i Ds on Jarno’s recommendation due to its accuracy and suitability for this type of product. The Wicket Bagger’s filling opening and discharge conveyor are easily adjusted manually to the desired bag size, allowing for quick and efficient changeovers.
Manter in Colombia
This is the second project we’ve recently completed in Colombia. Earlier this year, we installed an AutoMesh at San Terra for packaging potatoes in 20 and 25 kg raschel mesh bags. With this new line at Agro Fuente Verde, we’re further expanding our presence in the Colombian market and demonstrating that our solutions are perfectly suited for both larger bulk packaging and smaller consumer bags.
